I took inspiration from the mole to create this sweet and spicy chocolate rimming salt. The chocolate in the Spicy Chocolate salt is imported from Oaxaca, one of the regions most well-known for its chocolate in Mexico. It’s commonly used for hot chocolate, champurrado (a chocolate-based thick Mexican beverage, prepared with cacao, masa de maíz and water or milk), mole, and other desserts.
The sweetness of the chocolate mixed with the spiciness of the chile makes a great combo. This salt is excellent for chilly weather drinks or to sprinkle on holiday treats.
Use the Spicy Chocolate salt with chocolate, pumpkin, peppermint, and espresso liqueurs. Or just add it to your hot cocoa to take it up a notch! It's a versatile salt and pairs well with mezcal, bourbon, rum, and vodka.
Comes in a resealable mylar bag. Each package is 1.5 ounces (approximately 35 servings). Please make sure to close properly after each use and store in dark cool places for longer shelf life.
